Advanced Kitbashing for Environment Design

File

In this second part of a series on 3D kitbashing for concept art (part 1 here), I'm presenting more advanced design techniques that focus on architecture.

You'll start by learning how to create a design-oriented 3D kitbash set in zbrush from scratch, while defining a visual language that will lead the entire painting. Then you'll see how to use this set to build a whole city in 3D that can be either detailed and rendered in 3D or painted-over in Photoshop.

Content:

  • 1 hour 20 minutes lecture on iterative kit bashing for architecture and environment design.
  • 1 kitbash set (Base architecture)
  • Zbrush scene
  • Zbrush kitbash insertmesh brush and ztool
  • Keyshot scene
  • 2h25" bonus video showing the painting process in Photoshop (no audio).
  • 1 PSB file
